Prince George birth certificate : Signature Revealed On Baby. Royal officials say Prince William and his wife, Kate, have formally registered the birth of their son – and put to rest any doubts about their occupations as royals.
Kensington Palace said William signed the birth registry Friday for Prince George, third in line to the throne, who was born on 22 July at St. Mary’s hospital in London.
The register entry gives the date, place of birth and full name of His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.
William and Kate’s full names were also given, with occupations listed as Prince of the United Kingdom and Princess of the United Kingdom.
After leaving the hospital, the Cambridges and their new son stayed at Kensington Palace for the first night, where they were visited by the Queen and Prince Harry.
Shortly after their visitors, the royal trio made their way to Bucklebury, Berkshire, to stay with Kate’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton.
It is expected the Duke and Duchess will release the first official images of Prince George next week, and the couple are planning to talk to the media at some point in the near future.
Prince William will return to royal duties on August 14, when he attends the Anglesey Show, in Wales, while new mother Kate is expected to announce new engagements in a ‘matter of weeks’.
