Lyon in no rush to sell Fekir to Liverpool

Liverpool signed Fabinho from Monaco for a reported fee of 50 million Euros.

After Saturday's Champions League final disappointment, Liverpool Football Club made a decision to boost the morale of their fans by announcing the signing of AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho.

Nabil Fekir insists a move to Liverpool is "not close" as speculation mounts over the Lyon playmaker's future.

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out for the start of the season, Liverpool needed to add an energetic player to their midfield and they got two in, Keita and Fabinho.

"He's a really technical player and I'm sure that he will adapt to the Premier League as soon as he arrives", he told a news conference in London on Tuesday. "I know him personally as I have been in the national team with him", the Daily Mail quotes Fabinho as saying.

While speaking to Liverpool's website, the Brazilian said: "We spoke a bit more about how the city was, about the infrastructure of the club, the city and we also spoke about the coaches and how they do their work". Hopefully, on a personal level, I'm able to win titles with this club.
