Stanley Cup Playoffs Buzz: Golden Knights top Sharks on Karlsson OT goal

Updates with new lede.

Logan Couture scored his second goal 5:13 into double overtime to lift the San Jose Sharks to a 4-3 win over the expansion Vegas Golden Knights in game two of their National Hockey League playoff series.

Hertl then tied the game with 1:57 left in regulation time on a goal-mouth scramble, firing the puck past Fleury from just outside the crease after Justin Braun pushed it toward the net. William Karlsson scored the game-winner with 11:43 remaining in overtime, giving Vegas a 2-1 series lead.

Karlsson was that hero - just as he has been so much this season.

Logan Couture - The Sharks sniper recorded 10 shot attempts (7 SOG), including a point-blank chance during overtime on which Marc-Andre Fleury made an unbelievable glove save.

"I think the plus (of the long break) would probably be the rest, healing your body from the bumps and bruises a little bit", Fleury said.

The Sharks were one of the best teams in the regular season at avoiding penalties, going short-handed just 2.7 times per game for the fourth-lowest mark in the league. "It was a good feeling".

Even with the Sharks outshooting the Golden Knights 16-8 Vegas came storming back like a summer dust storm tallying three goals to grab a two goal lead with three unanswered goals.

Reports have also claimed that the Kardashian family are "having a hard time" accepting that Khloe might forgive Tristan. Tristan did receive some positive comments, however, with some fans commenting: 'All these comments are pretty bad.

Tomas Hertl, Evander Kane and Timo Meier each scored goals for San Jose.

"Let's go Sharks fans!" I think it's safe to take the hosts here as they are a solid 27-13-2-1 at home this season and have been playing great hockey during the playoffs aside from Game 1 when they laid an egg. Both teams put up a defensive fight worthy of the Stanley Cup throughout the third period, keeping each other back through penalties and power plays, but it was the Knights who pulled out the overtime goal to give them the win. Exactly one month before Monday's victor, Karlsson did this to the Sharks goaltender. Games 3 and 4 will be played in San Jose on Monday and Wednesday. This time, Marc-Edouard Vlasic was trying to clear the puck out of the zone but Reilly Smith got a piece of it and got the puck to Karlsson, whose quick shot from the right side probably should have been stopped by Jones but got past the goalie 26 seconds into the period. In six postseason games in 2018, Fleury has a record of 5-1 with a goals against average of 1.00, save percentage of.967 and three shutouts.

They converted again when Marchessault one-timed a cross-ice pass from Alex Tuch past Jones to give Vegas the lead.

"He's got eyes in the back of his head sometimes", Smith said. In the first five days of the second round, no team has won consecutive games in a series.

"He's not going anywhere and we're not the first team that he's done it to, so you've got to stick with it", DeBoer said of Fleury.

With the series tied 1-1 tonight's game holds a lot of significance.

The Sharks feel they've been creating more quality scoring chances against Fleury as their second round series has gone on.
