Disney to produce live sports and entertainment shows for Twitter


The Walt Disney Company also released a statement prior to Twitter's NewFronts presentation, confirming its deal with the social platform to produce live content and advertising opportunities around Disney's ESPN programming.

Twitter will work with Hearst Magazines Digital Media to stream two new shows: Delish will create "Delish's Food Day" to spotlight USA food holidays and pop culture food trends, while Seventeen will create "IRL" for celebrity gossip, fashion, and more.

Twitter and Disney said they plan to work closely to co-create live Twitter shows and share advertising-related revenues.

Details about which sporting events would be streamed live on Twitter were to be revealed later this week.

Disney will collaborate with Twitter in the creation of content, especially live broadcasts of its sports television subsidiary, ESPN.
