HBO Releases Teaser Trailer for 'Sharp Objects' Miniseries

"Sharp Objects" stars Amy Adams as Camille Preaker, a crime reporter recovering from a recent stint at a psychiatric center.

HBO has released the first Sharp Objects trailer.

Set aside your daily lamenting about how long we have to wait before the second season of Big Little Lies, and turn your attention to Sharp Objects. The limited series looks SO INTENSE. The story revolves around a journalist named Camille Preaker (Adams), who returns to her Missouri hometown, Wind Gap, to investigate the twisted murders of two young girls. The return, as well as the crimes in question, are particularly hard for Camille who has a history of self-harm.

It opens with a young woman's voiceover saying: "Momma said she saw a ghost once".

The trailer doesn't give too much away, but it shows just enough to have you totally and completely invested. The trailer ends with someone whispering to Camille, "It's not safe for you here".
