Like we said, Shenmue 1 and 2 will be hitting modern platforms sometime later this year.

The games will be released in both physical and digital formats, and they'll feature improved textures, which should come as a relief to anyone who remembers the original Dreamcast versions.

YouTuber Adam Koralik released a video today with additional information about the upcoming Shenmue I & Shenmue II HD collection coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year following a chance to check out the titles with SEGA in Japan.

There was no word on a cause of the fire, if more information becomes available we will bring it to you. Both children were said to be in cardiac arrest after being rescued, fire officials said.

Shenmue 2 offered an optional mechanic to speed up time and more quickly reach core story activities, and with the announcement of Shenmue and Shemmue 2 getting HD ports, many have wondered if this feature would be ported back to the original game. The game featured a system - somewhat similar to the design of games like Majora's Mask - where certain in-game events only happened at specific points in time, meaning that players had to be in the right place at the right time or they would miss plot progression entirely.

Besides the 1080p resolution, gamers will be treated to visual options on PC, optimized UI, a choice between modern and classic control schemes, and both English and Japanse audio.

The Shenmue I & II collection is billed as the "best Shenmue experience to date". Sega claims its "original feature set" in terms of "jujitsu combat, investigative sleuthing, and RPG elements" will make a comeback in addition to "real-time open worlds that feel truly alive thanks to day-to- night cycles and weather changes, with a population of civilians who follow their own schedules".
