Will Salman Khan Get Bail In Blackbuck Poaching Case? Verdict After Lunch

Ravindra Kumar Joshi, district and sessions judge at Jodhpur court, reserved his order till Saturday but has now been transferred to Sirohi.

Salman Khan will have to return to Jodhpur on May 7 for the next hearing. The district and sessions court heard arguments on the suspension of sentence and bail application before deferring the matter till Saturday.

Salman Khan has been given a five year sentence for his black-buck poaching case from 1998.

Judge Joshi on Friday had said that he will study the actor's case before taking a decision on his bail plea.

On Thursday, the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court (CJM), Jodhpur Rural found the actor guilty of killing two blackbucks in Kankani village, near Jodhpur, during the shooting of Bollywood movie Hum Saath Saath Hain.

The statement said that the caravan has taken place each year since Y 2010, and that 400 people in the group have already been deported.

The blackbuck, an endangered species, is protected under Schedule 1 of the Indian Wildlife Act and the punishment for hunting blackbuck can be up to six years.

Now, why I am saying that Salman Khan will be into the jail till Monday even if he gets bail by tomorrow.

However, the judge acquitted co-accused Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and Tabu for lack of evidence. Salman has already been acquitted from the illegal arms case and two poaching cases. That decision is now being challenged in the Supreme Court. Salman Khan has also been accused of killing two chinkaras and a blackbuck in September 1998. Hope the court sees Salman Khan has helped and saved hundreds of people over the years.

Ram Nivas, a member of the sect told NDTV that the court had been too lenient with Khan's co-stars who were also in the auto with him when the incident happened.

Sources in Jodhpur jail said Khan was cooperating well, though he looked a tad depressed and confused at times. The actor had recently finished the Abu Dhabi schedule of his upcoming film Race 3.

If Salman is not granted bail, he will have to stay in his cell all day long like other inmates and will have to give up all the facilities he had in his lavish apartment.
