Finally, finally after months and months of teasers and leaks we have our officially confirmation that Spyro Reignited Remaster is on its way.

Studio Toys for Bob rebuilt the the titles from scratch, and the final product includes more than 100 levels, enhanced reward sequences, improved environments, updated controls, recreated cinematics and a reimagined soundtrack. The Nintendo UK store had the Spyro remaster listed as Spyro the Dragon Remastered, with pre-orders open and the game priced at £39.99 (roughly the same price of the PS4 and Xbox One versions).

Calls for a Spyro update have been pretty loud since Crash had his second turn in the spotlight.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is giving a high-definition makeover to Spyro the dragon and his first three games from 1998, 1999, and 2000: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!

UEFA charge Liverpool over Manchester City bus attack
Liverpool FC fans lit flares, threw bricks , and trashed the Manchester City team bus so badly it was put out of commission. In fact, City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne said it was "a nice feeling ".

What's possible here is that the Switch version could be releasing at some point after the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy launches for PS4 and Xbox One on September 21st.

According to the game's press release, Spyro Reignited Trilogy will focus on scaling up the decades-old original games to HD graphics, while staying faithfully re-mapped to the originals. That fervor picked up this week when IGN received a scaly, purple egg hinting at Spyro's return, which was followed by a series of clues indicating the beloved character's return. Players will experience a trilogy that's loaded with an astonishing amount of detail, refreshed modern day mechanics, full analog stick support and smooth camera handling. Yet, Spyro's good friend Crash Bandicoot has something neat to share regarding the announcement. More official details about the game should be coming very soon. If you're pressed for time (or you don't own a copy of the game), you can also watch the trailer embedded above.

Spyro's original voice actor, Tom Kenny, will also be reprising his role in the game.
