The core of the storm system that brought rain and a mix yesterday will bring a wintry mix again tonight, and maybe some light snow.
Current forecasts are expecting morning snow showers to change into rain showers on Sunday by late day.
After a slightly colder and clear Thursday, high temperatures are expected between 40 and 47 degrees and low temperatures will remain under 30 for the majority of the next two weeks. Finally, since it does look as though the areas north and west of the city are more likely to see accumulating snow and hard travel, a Winter Storm Watch will be in effect starts Tuesday evening lasting until the morning hours on Thursday. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible. Rain showers turn to snow showers through the night, and potentially a light snow by daybreak. As you inch closer to the Philly metro area, there could be some accumulating snow along I-95 and even into inland New Jersey as well, but it will be predicated on the cold air and how fast we see it slide into the region.
On Thursday, the weather system will then be pushed away by winds followed by a day of sunshine and showers.
More in the way of a steadier snowfall will be passing through Eastern Pennsylvania Wednesday with a better chance for a significant accumulation of a few inches of more. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
Wednesday's highs will be in the upper-30s.
