Kobe Bryant cherishes Oscar more than five National Basketball Association championships


The five-time NBA championship victor won the award for his short film, Dear Basketball, and accepted the honor with his director, Glen Keane, during the show.

Bryant also narrates the 5-minute short, which is directed by Glen Keane and scored by Oscar-winning composer and Star Wars veteran John Williams. "I'm glad we can do a little bit more than that", Kobe shared during his acceptance speech.

Bryant's Oscar joins a silverware collection that includes aMost Valuable Player Award, two N.B.A. Finals M.V.P.s, and five N.B.A. titles.

After a 20-year career playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant has used the same "Mamba" mentality he brought to the court to his new endeavors.
