Police escort people from CMU buildings as shooting suspect remains at large


Earlier today, state Rep. Emanuel "Chris" Welch (7th), who represents Bellwood in the Illinois House, wrote on Facebook that the victim was James Eric Davis Sr.

The school says police believe the Friday morning shooting "started from a domestic situation".

Pleasant Public Safety at 10:23 a.m. on Friday stated Davis, who is armed and risky, was wearing yellow jeans and a blue hoodie, but the hoodie may have been removed.

University police said the suspect was caught on camera fleeing the area. The shooting occurred around 8:30 a.m.at a residence hall at Central Michigan, which is about 70 miles (112.6 kilometers) north of Lansing. He is wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie.
