Heyman: Lesnar 'Always Ready' to Fight in UFC

Lesnar was in Vegas to confront Reigns on Monday Night RAW, after the latter earned his title shot at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Lesnar (5-3, 1 NC in MMA) last fought at UFC 200 in July 2016 against Mark Hunt in a highly controversial fight.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was in Las Vegas on Sunday to meet with his former boss, UFC President Dana White.

That victory over was overturned to a no contest following the discovery that he'd failed drug tests before and after the landmark card.

With genuine stars Jon Jones (suspended) and Ronda Rounsey (now in WWE) out of action, White needs all the star power he can get, and Lesnar has proven to be a PPV draw in the past.

The six months remaining on The Beast's suspension has since been frozen, meaning if he were to return to the octagon, he would still have to see out half a year on the sidelines.

TMZ Sports recently had an opportunity to talk with Paul Heyman, Lesnar's in-storyline advocate in the WWE.

Moms Demand Action, which sent the letters to the streaming platform, also posted an online petition using the hashtag #DumpNRATV. The NRA was an early supporter of Trump's campaign , and it remains unclear how far the president will go to cross them.

A return to the UFC can not be ruled out for Lesnar, but it is one that holds risk even for the decorated fighter.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer (h/t Uproxx's Ryan Harkness) reported in January that Lesnar's contract with WWE expires after WrestleMania 34 on April 8. This allows the WWE some room to renegotiate, and an opportunity for Lesnar to use his interest in both the UFC and the WWE to leverage a lucrative deal with one or the other.

"It just goes to show the credibility when a guy like Brock Lesnar's coming back, so it's all about money".

Either way, a return to the octagon probably wouldn't occur until December 2018 or sometime in the early part of 2019.

Brock's been fun. When Brock Lesnar, you know, won the championship, it was fun. White has added fuel to the fire by posting a photo with Lesnar, who is wearing a UFC t-shirt, cryptically captioning it with a smiling face emoji, suggesting that something in the way of an announcement may be afoot.
