At least three shops, two private buses and a auto were torched here yesterday, after a young boy was killed in clashes following stone-pelting by a mob on a motorcycle rally taken out to celebrate the Republic Day.
Uttar Pradesh Police, meanwhile, claimed that the situation was now again turning normal.
Earlier in the day, one person died and two were injured after a clash broke out between two communities during "Tiranga Yatra". This led to clashes between the two groups that finally resulted in the stone pelting.
"All internet services have been suspended from 5 pm on January 27 to 10 pm on January 28, " RP Singh, Kasganj District Magistrate, said.
The administration also organised a meeting of the district peace committee this morning to restore normalcy. Another FIR was filed by the deceased Chandan Gupta's father Sunil Gupta against 20 men, three of them named, for murder, rioting, breach of peace, sedition and other serious charges.
According to ANI, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been constituted by the UP Police to probe the incident and nab the remaining culprits suspected to be involved in the violence.
