Police are searching for a person accused of robbing two metro stores within 20 minutes and within three blocks away from each other.

Police say they received calls about a man armed with a rifle at the Walgreens in Hamburg late Wednesday night.

Suspects reportedly went on a robbery spree early this morning in Opelousas, police said. According to police, the first suspect was armed with a shotgun while the second suspect approached the counter, knocked merchandise to the floor and grabbed the cash register.

Police have looked at surveillance video and said it is indeed the same man. He was armed with a black automatic-style handgun at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
