Slain former National Basketball Association player's ex-wife arrested in connection to his murder

Wright's decomposing, bullet riddled body was found in a Memphis suburb in July of 2010. "We went to the crime scene and walked in Lorenzen's final steps".

He said they called the investigation "Operation Rebound".

According to the Shelby County District Attorney General Sherra Wright-Robinson and Billy R. Turner both face one count each of first-degree premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

On July 19, 2010, authorities received a 911 call from Wright's cell phone - before the call was dropped, the dispatcher heard what sounded like gunshots.

Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings said Saturday that Sherra Wright has been charged in the death of her ex-husband, a Memphis native who played for five teams over 13 seasons as a forward and center in the N.B.A. Police believe strongly that Wright-Robinson and co-conspirator Billy Turner previously tried to kill Wright.

The affidavit said she gave the statements to police in the Memphis suburb of Collierville, where she lives, on July 27 - nine days after he left her house for the last time.

Turner was charged in the first indictment weeks after Memphis police retrieved a gun from a lake near Walnut, Mississippi in November that they later said was the murder weapon.

Disney to buy Fox film, some TV businesses for $52 billion
Disney will acquire Twenty-First Century Fox after parts of the company split off, Good Morning America reported Thursday. Fox assets that will be sold to Disney, include the Twentieth Century Fox movie and cable networks.

Sherra Wright is charged along with Billy R. Turner, who was indicted by the grand jury December 5 on a first degree murder charge.

She met Wright through basketball.

Rallings opened his news conference with a statement about the Sherra Wright's arrest. Speculation about her only grew in 2013, when a court battle discussing how she spent $973,000 of Wright's $1 million life insurance policy within 10 months (on purchases including homes and luxury cars) was resolved with a confidential settlement.

The spending spree included several hundred thousand on a lavish home, $11,750 for a trip to NY, $69,000 on furniture, tens of thousands of dollars on a Cadillac Escalade and a Lexus, and a $7,100 deposit on a swimming pool.

Wright-Robinson published a book, "Mr. Tell Me Anything".
