In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Simon Kinberg and producer Hutch Parker discussed Jean Grey's transformation and the scale of the upcoming film. Check out the EW cover with the first look at Turner below.
Mystique, Beast, Quicksilver, and Magneto could meet their end at the hands of the Dark Phoenix, or perhaps Jean herself is going to die. When a solar flare hits the X-Jet during a rescue mission, Jean uses her power to save the team but "the extreme surge of energy unlocks the Phoenix". While Jean is both the hero and villain, Dark Phoenix also introduces an other-worldly (and for now, top secret) shape-shifter (Jessica Chastain), who attempts to manipulate Phoenix for her own agenda. However, Chastain is rocking the silver locks. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the fourth movie in the series kickstarted by X-Men: First Class. If Chastain is not Lilandra, might this indicate that Simon Kinberg envisions this as a two-part story? EW's photos also show Xavier, Storm, Scott, and Nightcrawler coming together for someone's funeral, and there are enough X-Men in the mix that it could be any number of different characters who end up six feet under.

She said he asked her to read his statement announcing his decision and that he's notified House Speaker Paul Ryan, Rep. Bloom previously represented Hollywood executive Weinstein, who is accused of sexual misconduct by a number of women.
"The thought of not working with them is nearly excruciating to me", Turner said. "Acting-wise it was the best experience I've had [on these films]", she said.
The "Dark Phoenix" will rise again in the next installment of Marvel's "X-Men". (He even graces the cover of Time magazine in the film.) As a result, his "growing ego" starts to endanger the team. However, she's been labeled as an "otherworldly shapeshifter", so she's likely portraying a high level member of the Skrull empire. It has also been confirmed that Dazzler will be one of the new mutants in the movie, although she hasn't been cast yet... The last time we saw her in X-Men: Apocalypse, she was training the young X-Men in the Danger Room. As Turner said, "so many scenes I have to go from broken-down Jean - that's when she's most susceptible to Phoenix infiltrating her - to this confident, arrogant, judgmental character within milliseconds".
