LaMelo, LiAngelo Ball looking into playing professionally overseas

LaVar Ball pulled his son, LiAngelo, out of UCLA weeks after the Bruins basketball player and two of his teammates were arrested in China for stealing a pair of sunglasses.

Ball and two teammates were suspended indefinitely following their arrests in China.

Chinese authorities arrested LiAngelo and two other teammates last month for what UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero later said was stealing items from three stores during a 90-minute free period in the eastern city of Hangzhou while the Bruins basketball team was on a trip overseas.

LaVar Ball was back on CNN Tuesday morning to discuss pulling his son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA.

Others gathered up a tally of LiAngelo Ball's stats as a Bruin, playing on the shoplifting incident.

"I tell you what, behind closed doors, I think he got them on his feet, just dancing", he said.

LaVar Ball and President Donald Trump have engaged in a public war of words since the three players returned from China.

The suspension could have been as long as three months, and as LiAngelo noted, "That's the whole season, pretty much".

"We all went out one night, went through the malls, went to the Louis Vuitton store, and people started taking stuff and me just not thinking and being with them, I took something, too", LiAngelo Ball said.

"What happened to them, it's been a long enough punishment". That's a long time doing nothing. "It's just you and all the officers, and they don't speak English". "The plan is now to get Gelo ready for the National Basketball Association draft", LaVar Ball told ESPN. He'd be unable to enroll and play immediately for any NCAA Division I program, although there would have been at least the possibility he could catch on at a lower-level program, like an NAIA school. Trump and LaVar Ball publicly feuded after the latter said the president did not deserve credit for intervening to get his son released.

Ball also insists that eventually, LiAngelo and LaMelo will both join Lonzo on the Lakers.

LaVar Ball told ESPN prior to the season that LiAngelo would only stay at UCLA for one season, even if he wasn't projected as a draft pick. "Watch how I do this". The ones who got it wrong, I don't worry about it.
