Florida law enforcement authorities had issued a missing child alert for Caitlyn Frisina after she was last seen last week.

According to WJAX, Frisina and Rodriguez were located Friday in North Syracuse, New York. It's believed she had left voluntarily with him. Rodriquez was taken into custody without incident and Frisina was detained. "But I absolutely believe that she was lied to and totally misled", Scarlett Frisina told CBS. First Coast News was told he was sacked for not showing up to work. Authorities began tracking the two through surveillance videos at rest stops as they traveled up the East Coast.

The teen had left her home on her own, leaving behind her phone, "which she fully erased", the Columbia County Sheriff's office said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

According to statement released by the Columbia County School District, they said they were working in tandem with the sheriff's office and added that the coach has been suspended due to the ongoing investigation.
