Wenger sends message to Arsenal fans after 1-0 win over Burnley

Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal will proceed with a renewed sense of confidence following their late 1-0 victory at Burnley.

The victory followed last weekend's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur and it lifted Arsenal up into fourth place in the Premier League table. It never found clear sailing at Turf Moor.

But they face an in-form Burnley side, who could also move themselves into a Champions League spot if they claim all three points today.

Despite a mixed start to the season, only Manchester City and Manchester United have now won more Premier League games than Arsenal. First, though, for Arsenal is a midweek visit from Huddersfield on Wednesday night.

"We changed a bit of shape (at half time), I felt we had to give more".

"It's easier for everyone on the pitch when we work together and then afterwards we have the quality to get forward and create opportunities to score".

Cech made a volleyball style set save on a well-struck Robbie Brady effort in the 39th minute. "We had to get more out of ourselves in the second half and I think we did that much better".

They looked to be settling for a point on Sunday but banked all three points when Alexis Sanchez converted a disputed injury-time penalty. When you see how hard it is to score against them it's a big result, you'd think that many clubs will drop points here.

But an improved display after the interval resulted in what Wenger felt was a warranted second away win of the campaign.
