US President Donald Trump's favourite time-pass activity is bashing Democrats and the moderate wing of his Republican Party and also accusing the mainstream media of peddling fake news.
The tweet garnered thousands of reactions. "That's yours. Our job is to report the news", adding "#FactsFirst".
Trump has targeted CNN in the past too calling it "fake news" because of its coverage of his presidential campaign and administration.
The president has a long history of using the social media platform to attack CNN, most notably tweeting a video in July of him pummeling a man whose face is covered with the network's logo. However, examples of the pro-Trump website's work can still be seen on its Twitter account. However, Times was prompt to deny the report.

His latest tweet comes about a week after the Department of Justice sued to block AT&T's proposed $85-billion purchase of Time Warner Inc., which owns CNN. Some see the move as an effort to hand the network over to a conservative buyer, like Rupert Murdoch.
Joe Scarborough ignored the president's message and instead thanked CNN for sending the message that America "still has a vibrant, free press".
