SC's Tim Scott to embroiled GOP candidate Roy Moore: 'Move on'

If Moore wins the December 12 special election, for the old seat of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has said that the Ethics Committee will investigate the allegations and the Alabamian could face an expulsion vote.

The same report noted that Donald Trump, likening himself to Moore, is reportedly questioning the authenticity of the "Access Hollywood" tape in which he brags about sexual assaulting women.

"Well, that's a political decision by the president and he's definitely trying to throw a life line to Roy Moore", Graham said during CNN's State of the Union. In fact, he repeated 10 times in a 5-minute session outside the White House that the GOP candidate has denied any wrongdoing.

Nine women have accused Moore of sexual misconduct, including one who was just 14 when Moore, then in his 30s, approached her.

"Liberal Jones would be BAD!" he tweeted less than an hour later. "I can tell you for a fact we do not need somebody who's going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad with the military, bad for the Second Amendment".

"Forty years is a long time", Trump said, questioning why it took so long for Moore's accusers to come forward.

Trump's position stands in stark contrast to that of the Republican establishment, including the Senate leadership, many of whom have called on Moore to drop out of the race. Trump wrote in one tweet.

The Raiders extended their lead before halftime on a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run to hold a 14-0 advantage. Crabtree was ejected from Sunday's game against the Broncos , Vic Tafur of The Athletic Bay Area reports.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan, both Republicans, have called on Moore to leave the race in light of the accusations. Moore has denied those allegations, but several prominent Republicans, including Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, have withdrawn their endorsements. The former judge has vehemently denied all the allegations against him.

It has been widely reported that odd did not advance in the polls after Trump's endorsement.

Jones told reporters Sunday that his record speaks for itself and said health care, the economy and education are the top concerns in Alabama.

"It is pretty clear to me that the best thing Roy Moore can do for the country is move on", Sen. "And we were also told to watch him at the ball games and make sure he didn't hang around the cheerleaders. where the cheerleaders would be".

Mr Moore has said he has "not been guilty of sexual misconduct with anyone".

Jones, Moore's senatorial opponent, served as a federal prosecutor in Alabama, where he brought charges against two Ku Klux Klan members over their roles in killing four girls in the 1963 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham.
