Donald Trump's accusers, and their sexual-assault allegations, return to spotlight

What do you think about the differences between sexual abuse, harassment, and assault allegations and the differences between Democrats and Republicans?

An analysis of President Donald Trump's tweets.

Trump went on television and flatly read an apology for his words, then zealously shifted into offense.

At the same time, the Trump campaign rejected the claims of multiple women that the billionaire real estate tycoon had acted inappropriately towards them - a pattern of behaviour Trump more or less admitted in a notorious 2005 recording. When asked last month if it "was the official White House position that all of these women [who accused the president] are lying", Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded: "Yeah, we have been clear on that from the beginning and the president has spoken on it".

Trump's criticism of Franken was notable because the president has so far declined to offer a specific response to allegations by several women that Moore, as a prosecutor in his 30s, approached them while they were teenagers.

She recalled a scene from the film Braveheart in which King Edward I orders his archers to fire over both English and Scottish troops.

Implicit in the Trump approach is his and his aides' confidence that he has absorbed the political damage from his own past, while Democrats, who depend heavily on women voters, may have more to lose now.

When pressed if that means Moore should remain in the race, Sanders referenced an earlier comment made following the first allegations against the former State Supreme Court Chief Justice.

Doctors said the soldier's height was 1.7 metres (5ft 7in) and his weight 60kg (9st 6lb). It said these appeared larger than those for North Korea's Romeo-class attack submarine.

While disaster consumed Franken, one of his colleagues, New Jersey Sen.

Trump wrote in back-to-back tweets. Al Franken, D-Minn., after the comedian-turned-politician was outed for sexually harassing a woman while she was asleep - and awake - about a decade ago.

Until his late-night tweet, Trump did not inject himself into every part of the Washington drama.

"Well, Al Franken was a brand new news story yesterday and the President weighed in as he does on the news of the day often enough". The reference was included in a 1995 NY magazine article.

Franken has since apologized for those perverted acts and is barricaded in his figurative bunker as the calls for his resignation grow deafening. The incident took place in 2006 before Franken won the Minnesota Senate seat and during a U.S.O. tour through the Middle East. Tweeden shared her story with the #MeToo hashtag that is used to signify sexual abuse, assault, harassment, or rape.

Sanders said Trump believes Moore should step aside if the allegations are true, but she would not say what the president would take as proof.

Privately some Republicans admit the race may now be lost, with the Republican vote split between Moore's die-hard supporters and so-called "write-in" candidates who are not on the ballot.
