'Sepp Blatter sexually assaulted me,' says former U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo

Sepp Blatter's list of wrongdoings is lengthy, and now the disgraced former Federation Internationale de Football Association president is accused of sexual assault. "It's been normalized", said Solo, who presented the FIFA's women's player of the year award in January 2013 and shared the stage with Blatter.

"I had Sepp Blatter grab my a-", Solo said.

In the interview with Portuguese newspaper Expresso, Solo claimed that the sexual assault had happened just moments before the pair went on stage together to present the award.

"After that I did not see him and that was kind of bad", she told the magazine.

"I had to quickly pull myself together to present my team-mate with the biggest award of her career and celebrate with her in that moment, so I completely shifted my focus to Abby".

Shoulder injury to sideline Bucs' Winston
Winston first injured his shoulder in the 38-33 loss to the Arizona Cardinals , and he also was replaced by Fitzpatrick there. Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter discussed the decision in his weekly, exclusive "Koetter's Korner" interview.

"I'm actually very disappointed with the women who haven't spoken about it in the sports world ..."

"It's out of control, not just in Hollywood but everywhere", she added in reference to the firestorm of sexual harassment allegations in entertainment, politics and sport ever since the scandal involving Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein unfolded.

A spokesman for Blatter, however, said the accusation was "ridiculous". I always felt I'd "handled it' and stood up for myself in those situations, but there were never any consequences for the perpetrators". Silence will not change the world! Blatter, 81, was banned from Federation Internationale de Football Association for an ethics breach. I've seen it among players in the locker room.

Just days after that comment, Blatter made disparaging remarks to new female members of the executive committee. "That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?"

Solo, who with 202 appearances, is the most capped goalkeeper in USA soccer history, is an advocate for equality, including equal pay for women in sports. Afterward, Solo called the Swedish team "cowards" for their defensive style of play.
