Pokémon Go Developer Niantic Tackles Harry Potter With its New Upcoming Project


Wizards Unite is the next augmented reality (AR) game coming from Pokemon Go developer Nianitc, Warner Bros. and Niantic announced this afternoon.

Harry Potter is set to receive the Pokemon Go treatment next year - with the Wizarding world making its way onto smartphones for a new interactive app.

I am hoping that Warner Bros will not let Niantic spoil the game and will give some good input! Interactive Entertainment and WB Games to develop the new game. Ingress is more centered on location defense and exploration than capturing Pokemon, so this would make sense for an epic fantasy franchise that pits good against evil.

Going off a tweet on Twitter, the writer of the TechCrunch post, Darrell Etherington, got this news from Kris Able on Twitter, who claims this news comes direct from Warner Bros.
