Shoulder injury to sideline Bucs' Winston

Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter discussed the decision in his weekly, exclusive "Koetter's Korner" interview.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, who stepped in for the second half in the loss to the Saints, will start against his former team, the New York Jets, next week.

Winston first injured his shoulder in the 38-33 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and he also was replaced by Fitzpatrick there. On Sunday, Winston had passed for 67 yards in the first half before the halftime decision was made to sit him for the remainder of the game.

This will be the first time in 40 career National Football League games that Winston will miss a start.

Page said it was the only time he met Sessions. "Perjury is a very careful standard, but it's something that would be looked at". He has denied knowing anything about contacts between the campaign and Russians or Russian government intermediaries.

Defensive end William Gholston, meanwhile, suffered a neck injury in the third quarter and didn't return. The AC joint sprain has caused Winston to miss practice time ever since, typically preventing him from throwing most days leading up to games.

Winston has struggled for the 2-6 Bucs this year, passing for 1,920 yards with 10 touchdowns, six interceptions, and five fumbles.

"Jameis had an MRI today and as a result of that MRI he's going to be out for the next couple weeks and we'll be activating Ryan Griffin to the 53-man roster this week at some point", said Koetter.
