"As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time", it further read.

"Media Rights Capital and Netflix are deeply troubled by last night's news concerning Kevin Spacey", the companies said.

Although sources said season 6 was originally meant to be the final one, Netflix confirmed it less than a day after Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp said that Spacey had sexually assaulted him when he was 14 years old. They had decided six months ago that the sixth season, expected to be released in 2018, would be the last season, a person close to Netflix told this news organization. "If I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior", Spacey wrote. He also spoke publicly for the first time about being gay, which draw backlash from some observers as an attempt at deflection.

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced in a statement that it was withdrawing the International Emmy Founders Award it planned to give Spacey on November 20 "in light of recent events".

Rapp made the allegation in an interview with BuzzFeed News that was published Sunday.

As Olney said, there's precedent here. "That's what I'm saying, so just learn from it and we've got to go forward, move forward". Gurriel, a first baseman, will be required to undergo sensitivity training during the offseason.

House of Cards, on which Spacey serves as exec producer, has been one of the standout hits for Netflix since its debut in 2013. The two-time Oscar victor claims that he doesn't remember the encounter.

Spacey denied the accusation in a tweet, saying he is "beyond horrified" by allegations that he made sexual advances on a teen boy.

"I came forward with my story, standing on the shoulders of the many courageous women and men who have been speaking out, to shine a light and hopefully make a difference, as they have done for me", Rapp said on Twitter after Spacey's statement. "That said, I take reports of such behavior seriously and this is no exception".

But that doesn't mean the House of Cards universe is done for good.

Spacey went on to say that Rapp's story "had encouraged me to address other things in my life".
