Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but Facebook spokeswoman Vanessa Chan told Business Insider on Monday that tbh's four cofounders (Nikita Bier, Erik Hazzard, Kyle Zaragoza and Nicolas Ducdodon) will move out of the startup's Oakland, California office to work in Facebook's Silicon Valley headquarters.
"We wanted to create a community that made us feel happier and more confident about ourselves", the tbh's management team notes in a new blog post.
It is unclear how Facebook intends to profit from the new app, which now has no monetization scheme in place.

Lauding the takeover tbh wrote in a statement: "While the last decade of the Internet has been focused on open communication, the next milestone will be around meeting people's emotional needs.... Most of all, we were compelled by the ways they could help us realise tbh's vision and bring it to more people", "tbh" said. The only difference is that they have access to more resources because of Facebook.
