Country Festival May Not Have Been Las Vegas Gunman's Initial Target

A senior law enforcement source, not involved in the shooting investigation but briefed on its progress, has reportedly said gunman Stephen Paddock rented rooms at the Ogden overlooking the Life Is Beautiful Festival. The Life is Beautiful Festival ran from September 22 to September 24 in Las Vegas and featured other artists including Blink 182, Muse and Gorillaz.

Authorities are investigating whether Stephen Paddock rented several units at a luxury high-rise overlooking a bigger music festival the weekend before he slaughtered concert-goers outside a Las Vegas casino, a law enforcement source told NBC News.

This year's festival took place in downtown Las Vegas between September 22nd-24th and featured performances from the likes of Gorillaz, Lorde, Chance the Rapper, Muse, The xx, and more.

"We have information that he may have attended 'Life is attractive, ' but we haven't confirmed it yet", the sheriff said.
