Odell Beckham Jr. practices, says he's dealing with 6-8 week injury

Odell Beckham Jr. made a quick walk through the Giants' locker room Wednesday, moving briskly and without the trace of a limp. That's an admission that he won't be 100 percent if he does indeed play on Monday night versus the Detroit Lions. He rode the stationary bike while his teammates practiced on Thursday.

And without still-hobbled receiver Odell Beckham Jr.to catch passes, the Giants offense sputtered in another season-opening loss against the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.

If Beckham is still unable to suit up in Week 2, wide receivers Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Roger Lewis, tight end Evan Engram and running back Shane Vereen will once again be Manning's top options in the passing game.

It was a poor last season for the Giants' run game, and the outing from the Cowboys game has been no different.

That isn't to say Manning was completely at fault for Marshall's lackluster debut. "Our best player. It's pretty obvious". "And they called timeout and I think he drilled the second one, too. We'll try to get better from it".

Mayor Eric Garcetti and L.A. 2028 Chairman Casey Wasserman for making the California city's bid an attractive one to the IOC. Paris will host the 2024 Olympics 100 years after hosting the games for the second time.

Only two Giants on the 53-man roster did not practice: right tackle Bobby Hart (right ankle) and linebacker Keenan Robinson (concussion). He said he rolled his ankle on the fifth or sixth play. If he can not play in Week 2, the Giants do not have wonderful options to replace him.

Veteran left guard Justin Pugh said the line knows it got most of the blame for the offensive woes.

Probably undrafted rookie Chad Wheeler. If Manning has learned anything in his 14-year career, it's that one game does not a season make. Although Beckham missed the Giants' Week 1 game versus the Cowboys, there is a growing optimism that he will play on Monday. "Just couldn't connect on a couple of those plays".

Put another way: The Giants' offense will look a lot better once Beckham is healthy enough to return. They were third against the run past year, tied for fourth in interceptions with 17, 14th in sacks with 35 and second overall with a combined passer rating against them of 75.8. The last time the Giants lost when allowing fewer than 20 points was November 16, 2014, a 16-10 loss to the 49ers.
