Liverpool set to appeal three-match suspension of Sadio Mane


The Senegal winger was issued a straight red card for his high-footed challenge on goalkeeper Ederson during his side's 5-0 humiliation at the Etihad Stadium.

Late in the first half, the Senegal global caught Ederson with a high foot in the face as the goalkeeper raced out of his area to head the ball clear, a fraction of a second before Mane tried to reach it at full stretch.
