Microsoft announced the drop date on Friday at Europe's biggest tech conference IFA 2017 in Berlin.

Full details on the device, such as a full specification list, are yet to be unveiled, but Lenovo have confirmed that there will be more than 100 virtual reality (VR) compatible videogames and apps available for the device on launch.

Microsoft's focus on mixed reality as its terminology for the broad spectrum of devices and companion software is quite forward thinking, as UploadVR highlights, but it does mean we're left in the dark when it comes to specifics.

The latest version of Windows 10 is being built into a wide array of devices that will be on the market in time for the year-end holiday shopping season, according to Microsoft.

Some of the features to expect on the new update include enhancing Pen and Inking tools, adding a new 3D Paint system, unveiling the powerful Remix video editing and 3D creation tool, and fully bringing its mixed-reality platform, Windows Holographic to Windows 10.

Technically billed as mixed reality products, these will essentially work the same way as a Rift or Vive, beaming the user into a "new reality" by combining "physical and digital worlds". The best part is that the OneDrive files can be accessed without having to sync the folder in entirety.

But there's always a need for blood in more than 40 hospitals and clinics in the Cascades region, so donations are always welcome. Cash and check donations will be collected by Red Cross volunteers between 6am and 6pm on Friday at LaFortune Park and 2625 S.

What is the Fall Creators Update? It's basically a successor to, or even a replacement for, Windows Movie Maker, an app that let you create videos on a Windows XP or Windows 7 machine.

The update will be rolled out over a number of months, as Microsoft upgrades Windows 10 machines in phases.

Microsoft has been testing several of these features in its Windows Insider Preview Programme, including eye control. So you could "look back" at, say, a Microsoft Word document you only opened on your iPhone. Another feature that is delayed is the Clipboard feature, which allows users to copy data between phones and PCs.

This also applies to Timeline-supported Microsoft apps running on your smartphone. In April, the company promised to come up with twice-yearly Windows 10 updates in March and September.

"With the Fall Creators Update we are introducing some fun new ways to get creative", he enthused.
