Removing the home button significantly changed the way iPhone looks. We now have some idea.

According to the Wall Street Journal, sources claimed that Apple has scheduled a product announcement event on September 12 that will include the expected three new iPhone models: the iPhone 7s, the iPhone 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8.

Apple (AAPL) stock climbed to an all-time high on Wednesday as the consumer electronics giant ramped up production of its upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone and HomePod smart speaker.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Apple will introduce its new iPhones during an event on September 12.

Here's how it would work. Users will use gestures at the bottom of the iPhone 8 display to do things like close apps, navigate back to the home screen, and open multitasking.

The iPhone 8 will feature wireless charging, a glass build, a vertical dual camera setup, facial recognition and much more.

The multitasking interface has reportedly been redesigned to appear like a series of standalone cards that can be swiped through, versus the current stack of cards.

Alongside this, the home screen's dock is expected to use the same design previewed on the iPad in iOS 11 at the company's Worldwide Developers' Conference in June.

Suggested names for the new top-end model don't stop with iPhone 8 - some think it's going to be called iPhone Pro, or iPhone X or iPhone 10.
