According to a couple of leaks on German website Xbox Dynasty, the company will celebrate the launch with a new day one-style model in which the codename will show up on the console itself. This was the next-gen console's codename and Microsoft chose to opt in for Xbox One X instead. They're radioactive green and suggest an alternate universe in which the 90s never ended.
None of this is particularly enticing outside of the much nicer texture on the top of the One X console, but it is very welcome for early adopters of the upcoming console. Apparently, the Project Scorpio name isn't as dead as we thought! The presentation will be focused on the latest Xbox One X version, although a few tidbits about the Windows 10 update might also be covered. The Verge's Tom Warren, who is also a known Microsoft insider, tweeted that online reservations for Xbox One X will go love after Microsoft's presentation. It is highly believed that the upgraded console will finally be made available for pre-order at the event. Both the standard edition and the special edition should feature the same 1TB hard drive, and no other meaningful changes are expected for the special edition. It released a teaser trailer for its Xbox One X feature that is set to be unveiled during the Gamescom, which will be held in Cologne, Germany on August 20.

Microsoft is set to release a bunch of new Xbox One X details during its Gamescom presentation on Sunday, but a new leak today might be beating it to the punch.
The Xbox One X releases on November 7, 2017 and will retail for $499.
