Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson recently revealed that Ball admitted to him that his media antics are all created to bring his ball playing sons - led by NBA No. 2 draft pick Lonzo - and his company, Big Baller Brand, publicity.
Ingram, who scored 26 points in the game, fell to the floor while clutching his right leg after missing a potential game-winning shot in a 96-93 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. After it was discovered that the injury was not serious, Magic Johnson still signaled for him to be sidelined for the rest of the game. The Lakers have several young core talented players that could develop into a superstar, but none have arrived with as much hype as second overall draft pick Lonzo Ball.
Laker Lonzo will make his debut Two weeks after being drafted second overall, Lonzo Ball will get his first chance to show off for his new team. "I'm not insane. I know it's going to take time to build and we're building, but when we get the right people in here, we're going to win". "That'll probably be the worst game I'll have all week so hopefully I keep getting better".
"He played his worst game ever, and the Lakers still nearly won", LaVar said as he began to make his exit through the arena tunnel. His first points of the game came off of a sweet lob from rookie Lonzo Ball and he never looked back.
"That's what I liked about him right here", LaVar said of his son's late misses. On the bright side, though, Ball seemingly recognized the hot hand he had in Ingram and managed to still contribute five assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block on the night.
Manchester attack: Man arrested over terrorism offences
A total of 23 people have been arrested, of which two were quickly de-arrested, and 20 were released without charge. A property on Thelwall Avenue in the Fallowfield area of Manchester is being searched as part of the investigation.
"He has not played a lot of full-court basketball since [the NCAA tournament]", Lakers summer league coach Jud Buechler told the Los Angeles Times.
"I liked the looks", Ball said. "Oh well. It is better for him to start at the bottom".
While he remains thin, Ingram's shoulders are noticeably broader compared to his rookie debut in summer league previous year. It is about him changing the culture. How well Lonzo plays will also go a long way in determining how well the Big Baller Brand sells. He averaged 7.2 points and 2.2 assists per game, shooting only 37.3 percent from the field.
One of their talented youngsters who did have a good night - well, at least most of the way - was Brandon Ingram.
